I've gotten a few calls and emails about band camp times. I sent
an email out to your parents, and am posting the pertinent part here:
Camp will
run from July 31 - August 4, from 8am - 12pm each day. We will do our
marching first thing in the morning, so it's done before it gets too hot
outside. I would still advise your child to wear clothes suitable for
hot weather (shorts are allowed, so long as they're modest) and bring
water. Also make sure your child brings a pair of shoes that fit well,
but can get dirty.
Band camp is a required event, and attendance at camp will be reflected
in each child's grade. If your child must miss any portion of camp, please let me know immediately so we may determine an
appropriate make-up activity.
If your parents did not receive this message, please email me thier address so I may get them on my list.

| Okay, here is what I need. So listen up. By the way all of this is from this past (2005-2006) school year.
-Pictures of band performing at half time and in the stands. -Pictures from Senior Night. -Pictures
from both marching contests, performing and hanging out. Programs
would be cool, too. Definitely pictures with trophies. -Pictures of performance at Harding Day. -Halloween pictures. -Wonderful Town orchestra performing. -Christmas Party (Whole Hog Cafe) pictures. Especially the one with all the seniors. -Pictures of All Region performances. -Any pictures that you might want in the scrapbook from the band banquet. -Cool Six Flags pictures. -Graduation pictures. -Pictures from concert contest: performing, walking in, warming up, hanging out, on the bus, whatever. -Anything really cool looking. -Pictures and programs from Christmas and Spring Concerts. -Pictures of Jazz Band performing.
I
have zero pictures from any contests or jazz band things. I also have
very few of actual performances because I'm...performing...so I can't
take pic-a-tures. So pleeeeeeeeeeeeease pleeeeeeease let me know if
you have any and I can come get them or whatever. And ask your
parents. Also, remind me of hilarious, cool, or uh, significant
moments from this year. Leave me comments and tell me funny stories so
that the scrapbook won't suck. My xanga is www.xanga.com/yeahiliketea

I can finally tell you that, as of this morning, I am going to be your
new band director. I am very excited about the coming year and am
looking forward to working with all of you in an official
capacity. I spent the morning going over things with Ms.
Sterling, who has been working to ensure things run smoothly as she
leaves CAC and I step in.
The dates for next year will remain as they were published - band camp
is still going to be July 31 - August 5, from 8am to 12pm. I'll
post the calendar here in a few days so you will have a handy reference.
Music for the fall marching show has been ordered. It's music
from the band Earth, Wind, and Fire; I think you're really going to
enjoy it.
I really can't say enough how much I am looking forward to this
year. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, leave a
comment here or send me an email.
Have a happy summer!
Allen J Price
